April 2-4: ArtWave Studio and Gallery Tour of Pender Harbour and Egmont. A great way to take in some of the varied artistic talent in this area.

Sat, April 30: April Tools Wooden Boat Challenge - Millennium Park in Madeira Park - Crazy and wacky, this event includes building your own boat and paddles on site, then racing it for a grand prize.

June 3, 4, 5: Pender Harbour Blues Festival; 8th annual - every shade of blue. This festival is getting better every year.

June 18-31: Exhibition at FibreWorks Gallery: “No Floors Required” ; hooked rug works by Michelle Sirois-Silver and Rachelle LeBlanc

JULY 2011

Sat, July 2: Malaspina Regatta - Yacht racing at the mouth of Pender Harbour with a BBQ & trophy presentation at Fisherman’s Resort & Marina afterwards . All sailboat classes compete for trophies with a handicap system ensuring that the biggest boat doesn't necessarily win. Est. 1990, hosted by Garden Bay Sailing Club. AUGUST 2011

Aug 4-7; Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts, Rockwood Centre, Sechelt.

Aug 14: Annual Show & Shine, Garden Bay Pub: Hot rods, cool classics and classic iron shine at our automobile and motorcycle show. Family-oriented afternoon of cars, bikes, live music, hillbuggy rod rides for kids, art, crafts, food, raffles and prize giveaways all day long. Admission is free, all proceeds go to local charity. 

Aug 19-21: Pender Harbour Chamber Music Festival , Madeira Park. 

Aug 20-21: Pender Harbour Summer Garlic Festival, Lions Park: A great event for the family with (aside from the Garlic Vendors): Live Music, Horseback Rides, Bouncy Castle, Face-painting and more.

SEPTEMBER 2011

Sept 16-18:  Pender Harbour13^th Annual Jazz Festival. 

Sept 16-18:  ArtWave Studio and Gallery Tour of Pender Harbour and Egmont – including Jennifer’s Foxglove Studio Two.

Sept 24-Oct 30: Exhibition of art quilts by Pat Crucil at FibreWorks Gallery. 

OCTOBER 2011

Oct 15: Pender Harbour Mushroom Festival. This was a huge success last year – lots of fun.
